Can we say..Anger Management?

A challenge of sorts to my friend

(You know who you are!) I'll be your exercise buddy. Stay on your MIL about the treadmill and get it to your house. It's easier when you're doing it with someone else.

Besides, it's too humid for me to walk/run right now so I need to use the treadmill!

And this is just for you:

Happy Friday my dear. Love to you!

And the Turtle is off!! (m)

To Cub Scout Camp that is. As I watched him loading the car with his gear this morning I realized that the fuzzy turtle is growing up. Crash (AKA Brain) & I will be visiting him for the Family Night on Friday. I'm still unsure how I feel about this though. Turtle is my baby, and he's leaving the nest.

Rain Rain Go Away..

It's another dreary day here. Cloudy, humid, off and on showers...A perfect day to be curled up in my favorite chair, have a cuppa tea and a really good book to read. But alas, I must come back down to Earth and get back to work today. There's bills to pay, jobs to shuffle (Thank you Weather Gods!), jobs to cost, an office, a warehouse to run, and the most dreaded of all my jobs.. filing!! I need upbeat music today-As that's the only hope of sunshine.

My music library has just expanded..

A friend of mine gave me his music back up DVDs to copy. We're talking *HUNDREDS* of songs-Old & New. Holy camoly-I have more music on my computer now than ever before. I love hitting shuffle and waiting to see what will come up.

Right now, I'm loving the new Chili Pepper CD but I'm getting ready to listen to the new Tool CD which I hear rocks!

Who can I stand behind?

I remember in 6th grade slapping a girl across the face for calling me a bitch and sitting in the office *dreading* my mother who had been called. When she got there she handed me a Slurpee and stood up for me w/ the Vice Principal. I'll never forget that moment. I had a champion.

Now, as a grown up I wish I still had that comfort of knowing I had someone in my corner ready to go out when the bell rang ready to throw punches for me-Or even to stand in front of me to deflect the blows. Neither of my marraiges afforded me that comfort-Not even once.

Today was a day that I could have used a hero..Just for a little while.

Look what came to see me at work today:

Our very own box turtle. I'm not sure where he came from but we took him back down to the woods where the lake is. We'd hate for him to wander the other way and get hit by a car. For a turtle he was pretty quick!

My newest addiction:

Alternative Rock/Punk Music: Silverstein, Matchbook Romance, COC..I'm in love with the Chili Pepper's 'Dani California' now. I'm playing it non stop as I roll through my so called job today.

I've revived my love for heavy metal too. I've been rocking out to Megadeth and Pantera now too..

Love my music and love my friend who pointed me in the direction of another free download site. You know who you are! Love ya!

Waiting for the Weekend

The Brain will be camping at the beach this weekend with Scouts so it'll be just me & Turtle for the weekend. The only thing I've got scheduled is his baseball game though we might go to Busch Gardens afterwards to ride the coasters.

Turtle is into drawing pictures of his own that are based on the 'I Spy' series.

He's asked for a "BIG" piece of paper to start one on. Hopefully a piece of poster board will work. I love how his mind works-He's that spooky smart that is always thinking outside the box.

It's Wednesday now so if I can make it through 2 baseball games, one more day of standardized testing, 2 1/2 days of work, a Scout meeting and helping Brain pack for camping I can have my weekend!!

PSA of the Week:

Lurkers..You know who you are on community boards. You join, post a couple times (maybe) and then start lurking. You read our posts, know our joys, our sorrows, our inner most thoughts and never respond. You're the peeping toms of the internet and you suck.

So, if you've joined a community board (private or not) remember this:

1. You don't have to respond to each and every post there is. Respond when you can or what you can. Remember that you joined for a reason (hopefully) besides lurking.
2. Create a post every once & awhile-Be a member of the group.
3. We all go through periods of not having anything to share but it is still important to maintain your friendships online just as you do in real life. Let them know you're in a funk or working 2 jobs or you're running out of time during your day to post but that you're there and want to be a member.
4. If you just can't do any of this then please please please leave.

Thank you.
